Marriage is not easy, I think that many think it might be when first starting out on their journey. I am pretty sure that I did, I thought those ewey gooey feelings would last forever and that there would never be a problem. I came from a line of long marriages and no divorce for generations. Well I learned all to quick that there will be disagreements, there will be arguments. There are days you strongly dislike your partner but yes then there are those days that you can not imagine your life without them. I believe that marriage should be celebrated, not only on your wedding day but as the days go on. As our relationships grow and change and our bodies do too.
One way to do that is to document your love. Many people get engagement photo sessions, some may get first anniversary sessions. After kids come it is always about the kids and maybe some family photos. Why not take a day to get photos of just the two of you again. Make it a date, have fun always remember who you are as a couple.
John and Kelley did just that. I have photographed these two with there kids since their second child was born and now number 3 is getting older. They celebrated their 10 year anniversary and called me to have me do a session of just them. I loved the idea (I had just done it with my hubby also). Take a look at these photos and tell me you can not see that their love still shines.
